I came across these Irish Mammies Tweet Towels in designist when I was in Dublin last weekend. I'm pretty sure every Irish person has heard all of these at least once. You can also find them on the Irish Mammies website here.

Covet Thursday: Ciaté Chalkboard Manicure
I hear that the Ciaté Chalkboard Manicure is going to be available at a Pop Up Nail Bar at BT2 Grafton Street (Dublin) for €29! You can doodle on the matte base with the water soluble Chalk Pens and seal your final design in place with the Mattnificent top coat. The kit is available on the Ciaté UK website (postage £16.95 to Ireland) and the Sephora US website but I'm pretty sure this is going to sell out fast as BT2 are the exclusive stockists for Ireland.

Berlin Day Three
I though posting this blog from our trip in March would look out of place in the sunny May weather but as I look out my window the sky is not that different to the one over Berlin! Day Three saw is tripping around former East Berlin and past the Cafe Moskau and the Kino International on Karl-Marx-Allee as we made our way to the out of the way Stasi Museum. This is a must see museum and we spent quite a long time wandering around even though it is a modest museum - one of the items I was most taken with was this photo of a rather instructional school wall hanging. All in all a great few days in Berlin - hopefully our weather will mirror their lovely summer sun soon!

Covet Tuesday: Le Creuset Marseille
Oh how I wish this Marseille range of Le Creuset was available a few years ago when I bought my Le Creuset pots! I've just seen that you can buy the image above as a vintage-style metal sign on the Le Creuset U.S. site - more food for thought!

Berlin Day Two
Day Two in Berlin saw us trooping to the Deutsches Technikmuseum - we spent hours here looking at the collections of trains, jewellery and suitcase making equipment, cameras, and a myriad of other exhibitions. in the end I think I was most impressed with the Aerospace display. After coffee and cake at the museum we headed towards Potsdamer Platz for some quick food in the Arkaden and walked on the the Neue Nationalgalerie. Standout here for me was seeing this Yves Klein painting which you really have to see to appreciate!

Covet Tuesday: UNIQLO x Celia Birtwell
Oh how I wish we had a UNIQLO store here in Ireland - or I would be very
happy if they just started shipping here! For now I'll just have to
make do with ogling the new Celia Birtwell collection over at the UNIQLO
website.

Covet Tuesday: Tchibo Easter
One place I had to visit in Berlin was Tchibo. My Sister-in-law first
alerted me to these coffee shops which feature a regularly changing
range of products. As you can see they were in full Easter mode with
these wonderful breakfast and decorative items.

Visiting Berlin Day One
Having been to Berlin a few times now we decided to visit some places we
had not seen before. First on my list was Galeria Kaufhof in
Alexanderplatz. This was billed as the KaDeWe of East Berlin and it did
not disappoint with a wonderful Food Hall and Steiff and Pippi
Langstrumpf collection in the Toy section! After a look around Gestalten
and lovely bagels in Barcomi's we headed to Alexa Centre to view the
wonders of the Loxx Model Railway. All in all a great first day in a
wonderful city.

Covet Tuesday: Crosley Cruiser Turntable
I first came across the Crosley Turntable in an Irish Newspaper sometime before Christmas but I'm not sure where to source them online besides on Amazon. Still that does not affect the fact that I still covet the orange model so I'll have to keep my eyes peeled!

Covet Tuesday: Laura Ashley Bloomsbury Collection
Having just re-watched The Hours and having seen a documentary on Sissinghurst over Christmas I'm very taken with all things Bloomsbury at the moment. So you can imagine my excitement when I saw the Laura Ashley Spring/Summer Bloomsbury Collection. Have a wander by the Laura Ashley Blog for more great photographs of the collection.

Decorating Christmas 2012
It's a new blogging year but here are three of my favourite tree decorations from this year which will be on my tree until January 6th! We are just about to take down our decorations so I'm taking a few snaps
for the record. I was most happy with these hanging ornaments I made in
early December and this wonderful advent calendar from M&S. I think these hanging baskets might become a year round fixture - if only
I could justify keeping these stencils on our front door - too bad I
used washable paint!
